Discover Clearfield

Downtown Clearfield is a classic All-America small town in central Pennsylvania with endless opportunity. Downtown Clearfield borders the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and historical architecture echoes throughout the streets. The Clearfield Borough has a population of approximately 6,400 individuals that are hardworking, kind-spirited, and family-oriented. Clearfield is the County Seat, is the gateway into the PA Wilds, is known for abounding outdoor recreation activities, and is becoming an emerging leader in the alternative energy market, not just in the state of Pennsylvania, but also in the United States.

In the Fall of 2008, the Clearfield Revitalization Corporation, (CRC) became officially incorporated as a 501c3 non-profit charity to rally the grassroots spirit of a community and lead the revitalization efforts of the downtown. It has been a success, as Clearfield is a designated Main Street Community by the State of PA and true revitalization is happening.

Discover the hidden treasures and experience the small-town charm of Downtown Clearfield. Explore. Enjoy. Discover Clearfield for yourself!

Downtown Clearfield News

The CRC office is moving!

As of March 1st, the Clearfield Revitalization Corporation will be moving down the street to 125 E. Market Street, which is where the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce and Clearfield Foundation is located. Construction plans are currently in the works for the new office space. The CRC, Clearfield Chamber and the Clearfield Foundation are and will remain separate organizations, but will simply be located all under one roof. The CRC thanks the Clearfield Chamber for the warm welcome as the synergy of these two organizations being close by will benefit YOU with gained knowledge of programs, projects and events in the area.

The second edition of the Clearfield wine will debut Saturday, February 4th at the Groundhog Wine Festival!

The sweet concord grape taste of “Clearfield” wine will remain the same, but the outside label has been given a makeover! Each year, this benefit wine will have a new label on it, making it a collector’s edition. The Clearfield Revitalization Corporation partnered with Starr Hill Winery to produce the wine, and with artist Ian Aughinbaugh to create the label. Ian Aughinbaugh will be available at the Groundhog Wine Festival on Saturday, February 4 at the Expo Building at the Fair Grounds to autograph your collector’s bottle! With every bottle sold, $1 is donated to the CRC. You can purchase “Clearfield” wine next Saturday at the festival at the Starr Hill Winery booth, or stop into any Starr Hill Winery location.

6 new park benches have been added to our downtown thanks to CNB Bank, State Farm Office of Rob Bozovich, Brenda Grice & Family, The Yocum Family, and Sobel & Collins, Attorneys at Law. They are placed at the courthouse, on both sides of the building, and there are two benches placed in front of the YMCA. Thank you to TD Fabricating for constructing the benches and to those who purchased the benches.

Congratulations to the Overall Winner of the "Classic Christmas" Storefront Decorating Contest: The Clearfield Florist! The Clearfield Florist delivers the highest "WOW" factor as it creates an attractive and enticing atmosphere inside and outside of the store.

We were delightedly overwhelmed by the amount of businesses that participated, and we were especially surprised to see the number of non-retail businesses to participate as well. We understand it is a bit more difficult for them to decorate as they do not have merchandise to pull from their shelves and put in their windows. With that, the Design Committee gave four honorable mentions to: Historica Plus Antiques, Clearfield Pharmacy, CP Realty and Burns & Burns Insurance.

We had a great turn out for the Spirit of Downtown Tour! 90 Tickets Sold! This is almost double from last year. We are very thankful of the businesses and their hospitality, Starr Hill and Bee Kind Wineries, YOU the participants who did the tour, and a special thank you to our sponsors this year: Catalano, Case, Catalano & Fannin, Certified Public Accountants; Naddeo & Lewis, Attorney's at Law; The Cellular Connection, your Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer; All State Insurance, Dave Glass Ogden Legacy, Inc.

If you did not have a chance to participate this year, please mark your calendar for our next Spirit Tour in March called the "Deer Lovely Ladies Tour." This tour will be held on a Saturday in March....when we set the date you will be the first to know!

Also, keep informed on our facebook page: Clearfield Revitalization Corp.
