CRC To Host Rubber Duck Derby

CRC in the News , Events 🕔January 31, 2017

This summer, highly trained and dedicated rubber ducks will take to the water on June 23rd as part of the CRC Bloom and Berry Bash. The Rubber Duck activity will begin at 3:00 P.M. at the Bloom & Berry Bash festival in downtown. The goal of the event is to raise funds for downtown improvement efforts by the Clearfield Revitalization Corporation. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to the Clearfield Fire Department.

Each duck will race its way downriver to the finish line and carry a unique number corresponding to the number on one of the purchased tickets. Each ticket costs $5 and will earn the buyer one duck in the raffle ticket race. The ducks are anxiously awaiting the chance to be the duck raffle ticket holder to win up to $500 in cash prizes! Ticket purchasers do not need to be present to win. Only 500 tickets will be sold! First 100 children at the race will receive a souvenir rubber duck. Duck Derby tickets can be purchased online at or by contacting the CRC office.

Main Street Manager Loretta Wagner states, “This exciting event will not only help raise funds for downtown revitalization but will also draw people to town. There is an exciting day full of events with something for everyone. We hope everyone will take time to enjoy downtown Clearfield.”

The day will begin with the Bloom and Berry Bash downtown festival from 10am-4pm featuring food, craft vendors, kids’ activities, and live entertainment provided by Guitarnia.
